Pomegranate - William Morris Boxed Notecards

$17.99

A staunch traditionalist, William Morris (English, 1834–1896) rejected modernity, finding his muse in the Middle Ages when artisans and artists were equal peers. Convinced of the absolute pleasure of craftsmanship, he quit his gig as an architect and co-founded a decorating company with his pals. Together, they cooked up beautiful glass, metal, and textile objects, several of which had been created from his own designs! On these notecards, you'll lay eyes on sublime wallpaper patterns from a sample book published by William Morris and Company around the turn of the 20th century. Get your hands on five of each of the following notecards: Single Stem pattern (detail), before 1917 Orchard pattern (detail), before 1917 Seaweed pattern (detail), before 1917 Pimpernel pattern (detail), before 1917.
