Meet Broox Bat: he's not scared of the dark. He'd just rather never, ever be in it.

That "small" preference has some big consequences. No cinema trips (the previews are dark enough to count). No nighttime flights. And absolutely, positively no tours of haunted houses — Broox has seen enough shadows to last nine lifetimes. He even sleeps with a nightlight glued directly to the ceiling, because "nearby" wasn't reassuring enough.
